Solid servers implement access control using either Web Access Control or Access Control Policies which is a pain for developers because they don’t know which will be used in any particular case. So they have introduced an API to abstract this and simplify implementation of Solid apps.
As they have similar goals, it may be useful to look at this when putting together similar APIs on Safe. Here’s the announcement on the Solid forum:
