Web hosting manager issue

#1

I have developed some html files and I trying to upload them to safe browser to run several test. However, when I run the web hosting manager, even if I authorize it, it just “Waiting for authorization” and never load. Is there something that I can do?
Safe Browser version:v0.10.1
Web hosting manager version:v0.4.4

#2

I’m getting the same thing. And if I revoke web hosing manager and restart it the browser doesn’t even try to authenticate it. I have a feeling the web hosting manager is out of date. If you want to upload a website you can use the safecms app. https://github.com/badcodeltd/safecms/releases

#3

Thanks for reporting.

I’m able to authenticate WHM v0.4.4 with SAFE Browser v0.10.1 on Alpha2 but something else is going on where I’m not able to fetch data.

Solved when I built latest WHM.

Looks like we need to make a new release.

@JackTiew Are you comfortable with building web hosting manager from repository source?

#4

There’s a few error during ‘yarn’ command so can’t really build it…

#5

Were you previously able to use web hosting manager with SAFE Browser? If so, what were the last version numbers that were working for you?

If this is the first time using these applications, what operating system are you using?

@JPL When was the last time that you were able to successfully use web hosting manager?

#6

Yes I did use the same version of web hosting manager and safe browser v0.9.0 (mock) and it is able to run.
Besides, I am using windows 10 currently.

#7

Okay, I’ve built WHM, both mock and non-mock, for you.
That works with SAFE Browser v0.10.1.

That’ll at least get you back up and running.

I encourage you to become familiar with building the applications from repository source as it will only benefit you.

Let me know the errors you are receiving when running yarn.

That’ll help us know also if we are missing important instructions for those whom are new.

#9

Ah good. Install Python2

#10

Not sure tbh. I haven’t used it for a few months.

#11

I can run yarn and package the WHM now. But I am facing another issue same as Running Web Hosting Manager, is there any updates for it?

#12

Reponse here for @bzee as well. Sorry for leaving you hanging on your issue.

You will receive the Failed to load native libraries... error when attempting to use yarn start with Web Hosting Manager which has been built for mock routing. Only use yarn start for a build that is meant to connect to a live SAFE network.
Instead, use yarn dev for mock routing.
However, you won’t be able to authorise WHM with yarn dev on master branch until this PR is merged.

#13

I am using peruse browser with local host previously to test some code, but the localhost does not immediately update the modified part. It says that I should clear the cache. Is there any way to clear it in peruse browser?

Besides I try to use Safe Browser with the WHM but use yarn start or yarn dev both is still showing the same error: Failed to load native libraries…
Is there any other solution for local test development?

#14

Does ctrl F5 work? .

#15

Ya I tried but reload seems like not cleaning the cache…
